Louis Caruana

Professor of Philosophy and former Dean, Gregorian University, Rome

Louis Caruana SJ is a Jesuit priest ordained in 1991 and holds degrees in science, philosophy, and theology. He obtained his PhD from the University of Cambridge, and is now Dean of Philosophy at the Gregorian University, Rome, and Research Associate of Heythrop College, University of London.

His research publications focus on the interaction between philosophy of science, metaphysics, and philosophy of religion and include three monographs: Holism and the Understanding of Science, Science and Virtue, and Nature: Its Conceptual Architecture, and two edited volumes: Darwin and Catholicism and The Beginning and End of the Universe.
