
van Huyssteen, J. Wentzel
Wentzel is Professor of Theology and Science at the Princeton Theological Seminary. Ordained in the Dutch Reformed Church of South Africa, he has written numerous books including, Duet or Duel? Theology and Science in a Postmodern World; The Shaping of Rationality: Toward Interdisciplinarity in Theology and Science; The Encyclopedia of Science and Religion; Alone in the World? Human Uniqueness in Science and Theology. Since moving to Princeton in 1992, Wentzel has won three Templeton Awards: for his Inaugural Address Theology and Science: The Quest for a New Apologetics, and for two new courses he initiated, Theology and the New Physics and Theology and the Challenge of Darwinism. At Princeton, he lectures in philosophical theology (and specifically on Theology and Science Issues), his special field of interest being religious and scientific epistemology.
