Schlitz , Marilyn

Marilyn is Vice President for Research and Education at the Institute of  Noetic Sciences and Senior Scientist at the Complementary Medicine Research Institute at the California Pacific Medical Center. Trained as a medical anthropologist, she has conducted important research in parapsychology, including remote viewing (Ganzfeld) and distant healing. She has published numerous articles on psi research and psychophysiology, cross cultural healing, consciousness studies, creativity, and the discourse of controversial science. She served as a congressionally appointed Advisory Member for the National Institutes of Health Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, and is currently on the Editorial Board of Alternative Therapies and Advances in Mind Body Medicine, the Board of Trustees for the Esalen Institute, and the Board of Directors for the Institute of Noetic Sciences. She is the leader of Esalen's Center for Theory and Research Working Group on Distant Healing Intentionality and serves on the Scientific Program Committee for the Tucson Center for Consciousness Studies.
