Yifa, Venerable

Yifa is a Buddhist nun with a law degree from Taiwan National University and a doctorate in religious studies from Yale. She was a Visiting Scholar at Harvard and Berkeley and dean of the Buddhist-based University of the West. She participates in interfaith dialogues and is the author of several books, including Safeguarding the Heart: A Buddhist Response to Suffering and September 11; Stories From The Sutras; Sisters of the Buddha: Women's Roles in Buddhism Through the Centuries; and Authenticity: Clearing the Junk: A Buddhist Perspective.
