Biography

Jean-Luc Jucker is an anthropologist expert in interdisciplinary research and mixed methods.

He proposed a novel theory of art using research in anthropology and psychology, as well as field surveys at the Tate gallery and online experiments. More recently, Jucker used participant observation, structured interviews and naturalistic experiments to investigate the introduction of the mass media on the Mosquito Coast of Nicaragua. He also has research interests in body image, religion, and political extremism.

Jucker has previously held research positions in Oxford, Durham, Neuchâtel, and Nicaragua
